The series of brushes we carry ........

........... and typical work usage

Brush No1 - would have trouble removing fluff from your dinner jacket - most suited to the self polishing paints, light slime removal only. (does not damage paint work)
Brush No3 - Might just remove that fluff - for medium slime growth.
Brush No5 - for hard antifoul slime, in many cases will reactivate good Quality paints.
Brush No12 - for hard antifouled vessels uncared for
Brush No15 Very, very coarse for barnacle bashing! For steel / iron hulled (semi uncared for.) Not for the faint of heart this one, it’s a beast.(not shown)
Propeller polishing. Bronze & StainlessWe polish to 2 microns normally and 1 micron by request. 2 microns works well on two blade folding and max props. 1 micron is generally the preserve of the larger vessel 15mtrs + depending on condition of blades after a 2micron clean
Propeller straightening & honing.Small damaged area’s of blade can be sorted depending on the results of the survey, either as a permanent fix or temporary, so the vessel can still be used, till the arrival of the new prop either to be fitted in water or on next haul out.
Anode checking/changing.(it’s a must!, cheaper than a new prop)We fit only bolt on types at this time. For the steel vessels with welded anodes if necessary we can adapt existing brackets to take new anodes so you will have some form of anode protection. This prop was just six months old.
In water anti-fouling touch up service. Must be done During hull clean. This works well even on bare fibreglass / steel must have an epoxy barrier or under coat in good condition for the application to take well. Minimum 1/2ltr.
Live video/photographic (stills) surveys At the quayside with your surveyor on board normally for the larger vessel.Stills available for all.
Recently, a 65ft power boat came to us doing 24knots & using 340ltrs an hr, we had just 4hrs, to see what we could do.She left us doing 30knots and under 290ltrs an hr.The owner called it a great job.
We were pleased too!!!
